Alessandro Santamaria is Digital and Strategy Managing Director of Giglio Group, an
e-commerce 4.0 company listed on the MTA-Star market on Borsa Italiana.
Giglio Group is a “Worldwide Digital Enabler” with headquarters in Milan, New York, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Rome, Lugano and Genoa, that offers tailor-made B2B and B2C services through its own IBox Distribution and IBox Digital business lines.
Alessandro recently worked as General Manager of the multinational Italiantouch – the firm commissioned to conceive and manage the e-commerce strategy of brands belonging to Tod’s Group. Prior to this, he was engaged in two of the largest online businesses in recent years: the Private Sales sector, in which he was Director of Sales and Marketing at Bnk4Italia spa – www.saldiprivati.com – Italy’s leading firm in the private sales e-commerce sector – and in Couponing, as CEO of Glamoo Italia (a leader in the couponing sector for web and mobile). In October 1997, he joined the American group Cendant Corporation (now Affinion International), world leader in loyalty marketing, where he was involved in the Italian launch and developed several Membership & Loyalty schemes for financial institutions, Telco and Utilities. Alessandro has extensive international experience in digital projects, startups, business development and luxury fashion, having worked in the sector since 2005. As a European pioneer in e-commerce and m-commerce, he has developed various innovative projects and has always been involved in communication, marketing and sales, with a strong focus on sales results. He is often invited to speak at conferences, master courses and universities on topics related to marketing, innovation, digital and e-commerce.
