Graduated at Luigi Bocconi University of Milan, Mr. del Vecchio can boast of many years’ experience in the furnishing sector: he was formerly with Poltrona Frau and was also General Manager of Molteni & C. He has an all-round background, after having spent some years in an American consulting firm and several years in Fashion (Salvatore Ferragamo and Prada) as a Director of Asian operations, and in the world of design. Today he is Chairman of Ermini Automobili Italia Srl and Lead Independent Director of the Board of Directors of Eukedos SpA, a company listed on Milan stock exchange, in the sector of medical and health products.
He is also President of Battaglia Srl since June 2018 when the Company was 100% acquired by Giorgetti. Battaglia is today considered one of the point of reference in the contract and made to measure business where it provides turn key solutions for Hospitality (with key clients such as Rosewood, Four Seasons, W Hotels), Retail (with key clients such as Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Dior, Cartier only to name a few) and Private Residences.
“My appointment with Giorgetti is the successful completion of a project that I felt passionate about, together with Progressio: I have always admired the values, the dimensions and the quality of the style that make Giorgetti products unique and unrepeatable architectural objects. Our objective is to build up a path of growth and further development of the Brand on the international panorama, based on those distinctive values,” said the new CEO.
The excellence of Italian manufacturing and creation, which has always distinguished the Giorgetti brand, joined the new strategies of Progressio, with the aim of increasing the value of the company, consolidating the foreign markets where it is already present and expanding its prestige.
Progressio is an independent private equity firm that manages about euro 306 million, investing in small and medium-sized family-run businesses, with a high potential for growth in the sectors of industry and services and run by a management team which stands out for its great operating capacities and entrepreneurial motivations.
